Hello everyone, I have a couple of bits of information that is relevant for some of you but not everyone.
Provision for key worker children from 1st June
Mrs Maiden has sent a lot of information regarding the return to school for some children from 1st June. Some new key worker children will be returning to school from the 1st June and the following gives information regarding what this will look like. The classroom hasn’t changed significantly, we have ultimately made more room by moving furniture out and spread the tables out so we have more room. This is what it will look like:
Please also take a look at this PowerPoint with further information on.
Today I received a bunch of letters from the residents of the Cuttings. They loved receiving the letters you sent them a few weeks back and will love to have you as a pen-pal. I will send them in the post to you today so you should receive them soon.
Rocky ‘helped’ me out in school one day this week. Here are some pictures of him causing chaos around school. Don’t tell anyone but he had a little piddle in the central area, I trust you wont tell Mrs Maiden 🙂
It’s fair to say he found it all quite tiring…

LO: To order and compare decimals
Last week you used the following symbols to compare fractions:
Remember:
< less than
> more than
= equal to
Today you are going to use the same symbols to compare decimals. Here is an example below.
Remember the tenths are worth more than the hundredths.
 o.35 ‘is less than’ 0.53
A simple way to look at this, is to compare 0.5 and 0.05. Below you can see how much each decimal is worth and you can clearly see that 0.5 has more shaded in meaning this is worth more.
Use < > or = to complete each number sentence:
3.12Â Â Â Â 3.21
4.45Â Â Â Â 4. 76
1.01Â Â Â Â Â 1.10
